Hazelene Johnson graduated from Howard University with a degree in Business Administration. During her last year she interned and was subsequently hired by the State of New Jersey Department of Operational Excellence. Over the next 5 years, as a Trainer she assisted with the development, implementation, and presentation of several educational programs.  Hazelene later became an Outreach presenter for the NJFamilyCare Medicaid insurance program, educating non-profit organizations, and the community on the benefits/requirements of the program.  Directly, prior to joining the New Jersey Nursing Initiative at HRET, she was the HITEC Program Coordinator for Continuing Education at HRET.  As the Program Coordinator she provided Continuing Medical Education credit to physicians for participating in an educational series on converting to Electronic Medical Records.
